Why You Need This: Today, you'll discover "Flippy to Tour-Level Compression - Real Online Student Transformation."
Do you “balloon” your shots? You know, that high ball flight that falls too short?
It’s probably because you’re not compressing the ball at impact.
So make sure you watch Coach Q’s video today, so you can learn how to lower your launch angle for more piercing shots.
Plus, try the “stick drill” to help train a proper release.
Time to stop ballooning and start ripping low bullets!

Hey, coach Q here, and I'm really excited to share with you the awesome progress that ARO one of my online students has made in his golf swing. ARO came to me really struggling with some high and ballooning ball flight, wanted to get that ball flight lower, more compressed, more piercing ball flight.
So when that situation arises. Really what it comes down to is typically you gotta get the hands more forward of the ball at impact, get a little bit more shuffling. So if we look at a zero's swing, a zero really has a good swing to start with. He comes in and has a little bit of shuffling here.
But if you're someone who has a lot of club head speed, you may need to have a little bit more shuffling. Otherwise, you may hit it. A high ballooning flight. And this is a disclaimer on this video a little bit. Unless you are someone who wants to hit the ball lower, I don't really recommend working on more shuffling or working on getting more shuffling because that's just gonna make the ball go lower.
So if you're thinking to yourself, man, I would actually like to hit the ball higher forward, shuffling's probably the last thing that you want to work on. I say that because I have a lot of [00:01:00] online students that come to me and one of the first things that they wanna work on is just getting more shuffling, because that's the thing that stands out the most to them in their golf swing of something that seems off.
But the reality is, unless we want to hit the ball lower, I. We really don't wanna work on more shuffling. 'cause that's gonna be the main result of getting more shuffling is hitting the ball lower. You're also going to compress it a little bit more. You're going to most likely hit the ball farther. But we want to have a functional ball flight, meaning we don't want to be hitting the ball into the green and not be able to hold the green.
So unless you're thinking like, Hey, I want to hit the ball lower. Shuffling's, probably not the first thing that you wanna work on, but a Adrian was in a position where, Hey, I want to hit the ball lower, more compressed. So working on getting a little bit more shuffling is something that he needs to work on.
One thing that I wanna note before we go to the, to the after video is if we watch here when he's coming into impact. He's now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if we want to get more [00:02:00] shuffling, we want to get the body a little bit more forward. That's one of the first things that, that we wanna do.
A lot of people when they work on shuffling, they're just trying to get the hands more forward. They're trying to push the hands forward when in reality, a lot of times if we just get our whole body more forward, that gets the hands forward as well, which allows you to get, get that compression that you're looking at.
So if we look here, if we draw a line straight up from his ankle up to his lead shoulder, you can see he's about three degrees angled away there. Now if I slide my head over here, this is the new swing here. Now he is taking a little bit of a wider stance here, so he's probably even more forward than what it is looking like on here.
But if we look here, we're gonna see, as he comes into contact, we're gonna see how his body is clearly more forward. That gets the hands a lot more forward as well. You can see he's basically, straight up and down here and really if he had the same width of stance now that wasn't something I necessarily told ADR to do.
That's just something he did on his own, which is totally fine. If you're more comfortable with a wider stance that's totally [00:03:00] fine. It will be a little bit more easier, a little bit easier, more easier, a little bit easier to get forward if you have a little bit of a narrower stance. But obviously a Adrian is very comfortable with getting his body forward with even a little bit of a wider stance, but you can see how that gets his hands more forward.
Now, you might be asking you what what did you work on? A couple things that we worked on. One was a lag drill, if we slide me back over, you're gonna see how, when he gets up to the top here, he kinda starts throwing that club out right away. And what I mean by that is this angle between the lead arm and the shaft here, that angle.
It's getting bigger from the very start of the downswing. Now if we look at the new here, we're gonna get that angle getting a little bit smaller as he's coming down. Or at least it's staying the same. It's not throwing out right away. And that helps him to retain a lot of that shuffling as he is coming through contact.
So we work on getting a little bit more lag. We also worked on what I call the stick shaft lean drill. This is basically where if you imagine there's an alignment stick going down the shaft like this. [00:04:00] You can hold that up against the shaft where they do make training aids that you can clamp on, on, on the end of the club to hold a stick there.
But basically what it does is it gives you feedback right away on whether you are early releasing or not. So if you're coming through contact and you feel that stick whacking you in the side, you know that your hands aren't quite as forward as what you would want them to be. Now, like I said, you only really need to worry about this if you're hitting the ball too high.
Which was Adria's situation, so that doesn't apply to everyone's swing, but it did apply to a adro here. So you can see how his hands are getting much more forward. If you imagine, let's actually take that line out. If we imagine there was a stick going all the way down, you can see how that would be just missing his side as he is coming into contact.
So that gives him instant feedback. He's working on really turning the body through instead of throwing the hands so much. So those would be two things. If you're struggling with shuffling, you want to get more shuffling at contact. What I be working on is one, creating more lag in the down swing.
It's a lot easier [00:05:00] to have the hands forward at impact if we're not throwing that club out right away. And then also maybe working with a stick drill to help you to get the body rotating through without the club releasing as much. And that's gonna help you to get your hands more in front.
Now you may notice that this swing is shorter. 'Cause he's not taking a full swing here. Adria needs to continue to progress this. To a longer swing. But once he gets to where he can do this at the full swing, he's gonna be really be able to to compress the ball and make a big difference in, in his game.
If you're struggling with your game, if you're watching this video on the day that we're releasing it, it means that I'm opening up spots for my online lessons, and you can work with me just Agio o did here now. You may be struggling with shuffling. We can certainly work on that. I've helped lots of golfers improve their shuffling.
But in my experience, that's something that not a lot of people necessarily need to work on. I. But I like to work on, on, on everything. So if you're struggling with chunking, thinning shots slicing, hooking, just inconsistent ball flight in general, we can [00:06:00] evaluate what's going on here and get you on the right track, get you some drills to get you rolling in, in the right direction.
Like I said, if you're watching this video on the day that that we're releasing, it means that I have opened up spots below the video here. You should be able to see. A button that you can click to, to grab a spot. If you don't see any spots available, don't hesitate to join that waiting list.
So that way whenever spots become available in the future, we'll shoot out an email to everybody on the waiting list. And so that way you get a heads up right away and you can sign up before everyone else, sees that spots are available. So yeah, hope you're playing great. Anyway, but if you're struggling.
We're here to help during the online lessons. I'd love to have the opportunity to work with you. Just click that button and we can get started. Play well talk to you soon.
