In week one, Clay lays the foundation for hitting straighter, more consistent drives by focusing entirely on clubface control. After establishing the right mindset and running a pre-course driving test to benchmark your starting point, you’ll work through a series of drills designed to help you feel and control the clubface through impact. Using grip adjustments, release patterns, and exaggerated hook and slice swings, you’ll develop an intuitive understanding of how the face angle at impact determines ball flight. By the end of the week, you’ll be able to intentionally shape the ball both ways and understand the physics behind why the ball curves, setting the stage for the path and strike work ahead.
